ABSTRACT
In this talk, I will present a review of the projected entangled simplex state (PESS) wave function ansatz  in quantum lattice models, and the coarse-graining tensor renormalization group (TRG) method in classical statistical models. Some basics and related topics will be mentioned, and some latest result will be reported, including the PESS calculation on the spin-1/2 anti-ferromagnetic Heisenberg model on Kagome lattice and the new benchmark of variational TRG calculation on Ising model on square lattice.

2007.9-2012.7, Ph.D. period in Institute of Theoretical Physics (ITP), Chinese Academy of Sciences, theory of condensed Matter physics and computation physics,
2012.9-2015.9, post-doctoral position in Institute of Physics (IOP), Chinese Academy of Sciences,
2015.10-now, Associate Prof. in department of physics, Renmin University of China.
During the last years, his main research interest lied in developing efficient and accurate numerical methods, mainly numerical renormalization group, to solve the strongly correlated systems and intricate classical statistical models. He and his collaborators have proposed the second renormalization group (SRG) method, the higher-order tensor renormalization group (HOTRG) method, and the projected entangled simplex state (PESS) ansatz, and these developments have contributed to the numerical simulations of the strongly correlated systems. He has published about 20 SCI papers, in which 13 are PR series.
