A series of heterogeneous thermal functional materials, such as thermal interface materials and thermoelectric refrigeration materials, are key materials in the field of power electronic thermal management. In view of the scientific problem of“The thermal function of material structure regulation”, in this report, we will 1) discuss the intrinsic mechanism of thermal transport in heterogeneous materials, 2) introduce the engineering methods of thermal interface processing for nanomaterials, and 3) explore the relationship between thermal properties and other intrinsic properties. On this basis, we will introduce how to select the best combination of materials from the perspective of material physics to improve the efficiency of research and development of heterogeneous thermal functional materials.
