摘要:Current microwave quantum technologies rely on quantum control and readout of microwaves in the electrical domain. The scaling of the superconducting quantum processors poses a major challenge due to the substantial heat load and limited space in the millikelvin environment. In this seminar, I will talk about the recent progress of the field quantum electro-optics, towards hybrid quantum networks of superconducting circuits. 1), Coherent control of a superconducting microwave cavity using laser light via electro-optical dynamical back-action. 2), Quantum-enabled microwave-optical transduction, ready for near-term heralded quantum network protocols. 3) Deterministic microwave-optical entanglement, useful for long-distance quantum communications and sensing applications. These results offer a viable route towards optical quantum networks of superconducting quantum processors.

简历Prof. Liu Qiu is currently the Principal Investigator of Laboratory of Quantum Measurements at Zhejiang University. He received his B.S. degree in condensed matter physics from Nanjing University, M.S degree from Institute of Physics Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his Ph.D. degree in quantum measurements at EPFL Switzerland. His research interests include interdisciplinary research in fundamental quantum measurements and integrated quantum photonics, e.g. macroscopic quantum mechanics, quantum microwave photonics, cavity optomechanics, quantum acoustics, silicon photonics, and quantum networks.
